Surveillance footage showing boxer Gervonta "Tank" Davis grabbing his ex-girlfriend, Courtney Rossel, by the neck and hair was presented in a Florida courtroom. The video, consisting of eight clips, was played during a hearing that allowed Rossel to seek $5 million in punitive damages against Davis.
Rossel filed a civil lawsuit in October, accusing Davis of battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping, and intentional infliction of emotional distress related to an incident at a Miami strip club. The TMZ-obtained video allegedly shows Davis pushing Rossel through a hallway and down stairs in the early morning hours.
Davis was arrested in January on related criminal charges. Prosecutors later dropped a false imprisonment charge, deeming it redundant with the kidnapping charge. Davis has filed a counterclaim seeking over $20 million, arguing Rossel's allegations led to a canceled Netflix fight and cost him his WBA lightweight title.
This is not the first domestic violence allegation against Davis. Another case from 2025 was dropped after the accuser declined to prosecute. Davis's legal team stated the recent video does not tell the full story.
