Atlanta Falcons rookie James Pearce Jr. was arrested Saturday in Miami on multiple domestic violence-related charges, according to jail records.
Pearce faces charges including aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated stalking, fleeing police, and resisting an officer. The arrest followed a domestic dispute call, after which Pearce allegedly fled and crashed his vehicle at the end of a police chase. Social media video appears to show his arrest by multiple officers.
The Falcons organization confirmed awareness of the incident, stating they are gathering information and will not comment further on the open legal matter.
Pearce, a first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, had a notable rookie season, finishing third in Defensive Rookie of the Year voting.
