Details of the March 2024 Collision
According to documentation obtained by The Read Optional, Rueben Bain Jr., a standout edge rusher from the University of Miami and a highly anticipated NFL draft prospect, was the driver in a vehicular accident in March 2024 that resulted in a fatality. The incident occurred on Interstate 95 during the early morning hours of March 17, when the black Land Rover driven by Bain reportedly struck another vehicle before hitting concrete barriers on both sides of the freeway.
At the time of the crash, the vehicle was carrying four passengers, including fellow Miami teammates Wesley Bissainthe and Nyjalik Kelly. While Bain and his two teammates did not require hospitalization, two female passengers sustained injuries.
