J.J. Spaun secured his third PGA Tour victory and a last-minute invitation to the Masters by winning the Valero Texas Open on Sunday. He finished with a 5-under 67 in the final round, reaching 17-under for the tournament, which was just enough for a one-shot victory.

The event was heavily disrupted by rain, causing a chaotic schedule where some players had to complete 30 holes on Sunday. Robert MacIntyre started the day with a two-shot lead but was overtaken during the final round.

Spaun seized the clubhouse lead with a crucial eagle on the par-4 17th hole. MacIntyre, who also eagled the 17th, had a chance to force a playoff but his approach shot on the 18th landed in mud, leading to a par and securing Spaun's win.

This marks Spaun's first win since the 2023 U.S. Open. Matt Wallace, Michael Kim, and Robert MacIntyre finished tied for second at 16-under par.
