The Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2026 was announced Thursday night, headlined by first-ballot inductees quarterback Drew Brees and wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. Notably absent was coach Bill Belichick, who failed to gain entry on his first ballot.

Drew Brees, a 13-time Pro Bowler and Super Bowl XLIV champion, ranks second all-time in passing yards and touchdowns. His career with the New Orleans Saints cemented his status as one of the NFL's greatest quarterbacks.

Larry Fitzgerald, selected third overall in 2004, spent 17 legendary seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. He retires second only to Jerry Rice in career receptions and receiving yards, renowned for his exceptional hands and consistency.

The class also includes linebacker Luke Kuechly, whose dominant but shortened career featured five First-Team All-Pro selections and a Defensive Player of the Year award. Kicker Adam Vinatieri, famous for his clutch Super Bowl kicks, joins as only the third primary placekicker in the Hall. Senior finalist Roger Craig, a pioneer dual-threat running back for the San Francisco 49ers, rounds out the 2026 inductees.
