A Historic Night for the Indiana Fever
The Indiana Fever appear to have found a dynamic duo for the future in Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston. During Thursday’s intense matchup against the Chicago Sky, the pair delivered arguably their most impressive collective performance to date, securing a 114-106 victory in overtime.
The duo etched their names into the league's record books by becoming the first teammates in WNBA history to simultaneously log 30-point double-doubles in a single game. Clark spearheaded the effort with 32 points and 10 assists, shooting 8-of-18 from the floor, while Boston dominated the paint with 34 points and 12 rebounds, converting 13 of her 26 attempts.
Elite Company for Clark
For Caitlin Clark, the performance marked the third time in her career she has recorded at least 30 points and 10 assists. This milestone places her in rare company, as only four other players in WNBA history—Jia Perkins, Diana Taurasi, Sabrina Ionescu, and Skylar Diggins—have achieved such a feat.
A Hard-Fought Overtime Battle
The contest was a rollercoaster of momentum. Although the Fever surged to a 19-point advantage in the second quarter, the Sky mounted a resilient comeback to reclaim the lead by the third frame. The final seconds of regulation were particularly dramatic:
- The Fever held a five-point cushion with under 18 seconds remaining.
- The Sky forced overtime thanks to clutch free throws from Elizabeth Williams and a critical 3-pointer from Skylar Diggins following a turnover by Kelsey Mitchell.
Despite a standout 30-point effort from Sky rookie Sydney Taylor off the bench, the Fever regained control during the overtime period to seal the win. With this result, the Fever improve their season record to 7-5, including a 3-1 standing in Commissioner's Cup play.
