A'ja Wilson will remain with the Las Vegas Aces after agreeing to a three-year, $5 million supermax contract, as reported by ESPN. This deal, fully guaranteed, is the richest in WNBA history, with the supermax value rising to $1.4 million under the new collective bargaining agreement.
Wilson, who recently won her third championship in four seasons with the Aces, confirmed her commitment to Las Vegas last week, stating she was "not leaving Vegas" and not testing free agency. She previously signed a team-friendly two-year deal in 2023.
The Aces are bringing back most of their 2025 championship core, including Jackie Young, Jewell Loyd, and Chelsea Gray, while also adding Chennedy Carter. Before Wilson's signing, the team had approximately $2.7 million in remaining cap space.
Wilson, the 2024 MVP and a seven-time All-Star, averaged 23.4 points and 10.2 rebounds last season. Since being drafted first overall in 2018, she has accumulated numerous accolades, including Rookie of the Year and three Defensive Player of the Year awards.
