SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Victor Wembanyama delivered a dominant performance with a season-high 41 points and 16 rebounds, securing the fastest double-double in NBA history. The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Chicago Bulls 129-114 on Monday night for their ninth straight win.

Wembanyama achieved 10 points and 10 rebounds in just 8 minutes and 31 seconds, grabbing his 10th rebound early in the second quarter. This surpassed the previous record of nine minutes set by Jim Washington in 1966.

The rookie sensation capped his night with a powerful one-handed dunk in the fourth quarter, shooting 17 for 27 from the field. Stephon Castle contributed 21 points, 10 assists, and eight rebounds for the surging Spurs.

The Bulls, playing shortly after waiving Jaden Ivey, lost their fourth consecutive game despite 23 points from Tre Jones in his return to San Antonio. The Spurs built a lead as large as 29 points in the third quarter with six players scoring in double figures.
