The Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots have received positive news regarding their key injury concerns before the Super Bowl. Both quarterback Drake Maye and safety Nick Emmanwori have been cleared to play.
New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, who had been managing a right shoulder injury, was a full participant in practices throughout the week. Consequently, he carries no injury designation into the championship game.
Similarly, Seattle Seahawks safety Nick Emmanwori was not listed on the team's final injury report. Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald humorously confirmed the player's status to reporters, stating, "No designation for Nick. Turns out he's alive," referencing the previous concern over his condition.
Emmanwori, a 21-year-old rookie, made a significant impact in the regular season with 81 tackles and 11 passes defended. Maye, 23, is coming off an MVP-caliber season where he led the NFL in completion percentage and yards per pass.
